Magazine Present

A present for my sister's friend from work... he loves Madonna & fashion, so my sister had the idea of making him a magazine and then on two of the pages make a Madonna collage and put a Madonna CD on it... the other pages were to have pages of regular magazine adds from Express, Guess, Gap, Oscar de la renta, etc....

This is how it looked in the end:


His favorite saying is "Get it girl," so we decided to make it the name of	the magazine

Happy Halloween!

It wasn't so bad having to work on Halloween night but I definitely would've wished to have spent it with the family giving out candy and then taking my nieces and nephews trick-or-treating.

I made a little something for my sister to brighten her day on one of her top 2 "holidays" of the year...

When you opened the card you were able to hear the witch theme song from The Wizard of Oz playing... I thought it was pretty neat

Congrats on the new Home

My brother and sis-in law bought a new house! So as a little surprise I mailed them a letter wishing them luck and sending my happy thoughts as well as my love on the new journey they are about to commence!

...Not everything in the mail has to be bills you know ;)

~ For this one I put a baby onesie on the cover made out of felt with a little blue heart on top of it made of felt as well for a nice 3D look =)

Beatrix Potter, My own tale!!

I've finally decided to publish a story. A Children Book(s).

Well, a few weeks ago my sister Lizzy decided to go to the library to study for her LSAT exam so obviously as a book lover I tagged along. It was around our second visit that we both got library cards; she got a few movies out and one of them was Miss Potter directed by Chris Noonan, starring Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor. I can't even begin to describe this enchanting story but I'll try my best! Needless to say that we had the movie renewed to keep it a few days longer......

This movie is a biographical film of Beatrix Potter. It combines her personal stories as well as sharing how she managed to publish her short tales of Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, among many others; considering that her ambition to become a children's author was met with wide disapproval from society but especially from her Mother.

My passion is drawing or anything that has to do with creativity. So, I want to publish something that is all mine. Something that can be found at the library or maybe even local bookstore. I want to publish a book illustrated and written by me! I'm thinking outside the box here.

There are so many things I need to figure out and investigate....fees? ISBN number? copywrites?...editor?...publishing company?....endless list....

Putting that aside, I am really excited!... I still need a story, but I am sure that it will come to me in due time. I can't wait!
